Under the patronage of the Chancellor of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the university hosted the events of the Iraqi Universities Futsal Championship for Al-Furat Al-Awsat Region, which is held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research – the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority within the ministerial curriculum of the Student Activities Department, for the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022.
The Vice-Chancellor for administration affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Mohsen Al-Majtoumi, supervised the matches in Al-Najaf Governorate for (17-27/1/2022) in the sports halls of the university Kufa and Al-Najaf campuses, with the participation of fourteen public universities and private colleges. Theses included Babylon University, Al-Mustaqbal University College, Al-Tuff University College, Sheikh Al-Tusi College, Jaber Ibn Hayyan University, and Al-Hilla University College.
