In the presence of the Director of the Graduate Studies Department at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Bashar Jabbar Hamza, the Graduate Studies Affairs Department at the University Presidency held a scientific seminar on the Research Skills Development Program for Graduate Students.
The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Sarab Jawid Musa, Head of the Research Skills Development Program for Graduate Students, who explained the objectives of this program and how faculty and graduate students can register for the program.
The seminar was also attended by department heads from the university’s technical colleges, academic assistants, and a number of university professors.
The workshop aimed to broaden graduate students’ research horizons and enhance their skills in finding appropriate solutions to research challenges. The workshop also focused on leveraging professors’ expertise in the field of scientific research, including how to prepare and write theses and dissertations, selecting the appropriate journal for publication, and methods for organizing sources and presenting scientific results.
The workshop addressed how to develop graduate students’ skills in several research areas, with a focus on strategies for enhancing academic performance and productivity in scientific research.
The workshop recommended the need to organize time effectively and reduce the time required to complete research efficiently, which contributes to raising the level of student scientific production.
