As part of the university’s endeavor and vision to obtain advanced positions in national institutional accreditation and enhance its position with reputable international universities… and under the direct guidance of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department in the University Presidency held a workshop on the national institutional accreditation standards for higher education institutions in Iraq for officials of quality assurance departments and units in the scientific departments in the university’s formations. The lecture, delivered by the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Najah Kadhim, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Sanaa Ali Hamza from the Karbala Technical Institute, included a detailed explanation of the requirements of the national institutional accreditation standards for higher education institutions in Iraq. It also discussed the strategy of the educational institution, the methods of governance and management followed, and the management of the financial and material resources of the institution, in addition to discussing the axis of students, faculty members, scientific research, community service and curricula of the scientific departments in the institution, and following up on the completed procedures related to the national accreditation standards for universities. The workshop witnessed dialogues and discussions between the attendees, which concluded with the development of a mechanism to follow up on the completed procedures related to the national accreditation standards for universities. The workshop was attended by the vice presidents for scientific and administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadday, and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Mohsen Al-Majtoumi, and the department directors in the university presidency.
