Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, in collaboration with Al-Nukhab Academic Foundation, the university held a ceremony to honor the top-performing students in various scientific departments across the university’s Najaf campuses, excluding the final stages.
The ceremony was attended by the deans of the Najaf campuses, the director of Al-Nukhab Academic Foundation, Dr. Rafed Al-Zurijawi, several guests, senior university officials, faculty, students, and their families.
The event began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the reading of Al-Fatiha in remembrance of the martyrs, followed by the performance of the Iraqi national anthem.
On behalf of the President of the University, the Vice President of Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadi, delivered a welcoming speech. He praised the Al-Nukhab Academic Foundation initiative to encourage excellence and creativity among students. He expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event and congratulated the top students on their achievements. Dr. Wadi also highlighted the university’s key achievements in academic excellence, improving the university environment, enhancing the quality of education, and ongoing development projects.
The director of Al-Nukhab Foundation, Dr. Rashid Al-Sarayi, explained that honoring the top students is part of the foundation’s core objectives and mission to encourage creativity and excellence, as well as support graduate and postgraduate students and researchers, urging them to innovate through specialized conferences in partnership with both public and private universities.
Mr. Hazem Al-Husseini emphasized that the top students are the builders of the present and planners of the future, forming the foundation of societal development and the progress of national.
At the end of the event, the top students were honored with awards from the foundation and symbolic gifts.
