Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University held the University–Labor Market Forum under the slogan “Towards a Promising Professional Future for Our Youth,” chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi. The forum was attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadai; the economic expert and advisor to the Iraqi Federation of Industries at the Najaf Chamber of Industry, Mr. Ali Yaseen Al-Saabri; a number of deans of the university’s colleges and institutes; directors of departments at the university presidency; as well as a distinguished group of economists and representatives of the private sector in Najaf Governorate.
The forum discussed mechanisms for strengthening cooperation between the university and the private sector, creating employment opportunities for graduates, developing academic curricula, and introducing new academic specializations that respond to the evolving needs of the labor market.
The forum was organized in line with the strategic vision of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and the directives of the Prime Minister to support partnership with the private sector. The event was supervised by the Department of Science and Technology Parks, represented by the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Division.
