Under the patronage of its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University hosted the Tenth Edition of the Festival Honoring Volunteer Physicians for Treating Underprivileged Patients. The festival was organized by the Najaf Al-Ashraf Service Association and was attended by specialists, researchers, and prominent figures from the medical and healthcare sectors.
Speakers during the festival emphasized that the medical profession represents a noble humanitarian mission that embodies the values of altruism and ethical responsibility, and reflects recognition of the humanitarian dimension of medical practice. The festival also witnessed the participation of a delegation from the Martyr Nasser Al-Mousawi Specialized Center, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Kadhimi.
The festival concluded with the honoring of a select group of volunteer physicians in appreciation of their humanitarian efforts in serving patients in need. Among those honored was the Director of the Specialized Center, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kadhimi, in recognition of his prominent role and continuous efforts in providing medical care to patients.
In a related context, the Director of the Center met with the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the two institutions.
