Based on the cooperation agreement with Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University hosted a significant academic event the qualifying examination for Iraqi students applying for admission to master’s programs in the humanities at Ferdowsi University. The examination took place on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Technical Institute of Kufa, with the participation of over 370 students specializing in various fields of the humanities. The exam was conducted under the supervision of an official delegation from Ferdowsi University, headed by the Chair of the Department of Quranic Sciences, along with faculty members from the department.
This initiative aligns with the university’s commitment to facilitating access to academic opportunities for Iraqi students by reducing travel burdens and associated costs through hosting such activities within Iraq. The event was held under the generous patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Kazem, with direct supervision by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai, and the Dean of the Technical Institute of Kufa, Professor Dr. Atheer Kazem. It was also attended by several department directors from the university’s presidency and senior staff from the institute.
This endeavor represents a key component of the university’s strategic vision to expand its international partnerships and enhance access to quality higher education for Iraqi students through collaboration with reputable regional and global academic institutions.
