As part of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s efforts to enhance integration between academic education and the labor market, the Dean of the Technical Institute of Babylon, Assist. Prof. Dr. Oras Khadir Abis, visited the headquarters of the Chamber of Industry in Babylon, and met with Mr. Engineer Musa Fadhel Ali Al-Zubaidi, Head of the Chamber of Industry. With the aim of discussing ways of joint cooperation to provide real job opportunities for students graduating from the institute and qualifying them to work in the local market. The meeting witnessed a discussion of mechanisms to support the rehabilitation and employment unit at the institute by building effective partnerships with factories and laboratories affiliated with the Chamber of Industry. The Dean emphasized the importance of employing graduates in industrial sectors, noting that providing real job opportunities for them is a top priority for the institute. The focus was also on preparing intensive training programs for students during the summer training period, with the aim of developing their practical skills and qualifying them to work immediately after graduation, noting that these initiatives come within the vision of the institute to link education to practical reality and provide graduates with the necessary competence to meet the needs of the labor market. For his part, Engineer Musa Fadhel Al-Zubaidi emphasized the Chamber of Industry’s commitment to providing actual job opportunities for graduate students in cooperation with member factories and companies, noting that the labor market needs trained technical cadres that meet the requirements of the current stage. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to establish a joint implementation mechanism for employing graduates, including providing a database for qualified graduates and linking them with companies and factories, in addition to holding training workshops to enhance their technical and administrative skills. This cooperation reflects the commitment of the Babylon Technical Institute to qualify cadres capable of contributing effectively to the economic development of Babylon Governorate, and enhances the opportunities for graduate students to enter the labor market with confidence and efficiency.
