Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the supervision of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and within a strategic vision aimed at supporting young talents and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, the Samawah Technical Institute continues the activities of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2026 for the fourth consecutive day, in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week, with close follow-up by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Dr. Sabah Mohammed Al-Mutawaggi.
Within this framework, the Institute organized the “Technology Exhibition for Students’ Entrepreneurial Innovations” as part of its efforts to keep pace with modern educational methodologies and to strengthen a digital learning environment conducive to creativity.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Dean of the Institute in the presence of the Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Refining Technologies, along with a number of faculty members and students from the department. The exhibition featured productive and instructional devices, as well as specialized petroleum product testing equipment in the field of oil and gas refining, designed and manufactured by students under the supervision of their professors. These devices were produced in accordance with specifications comparable to international standards and at low financial cost, reflecting the high level of creativity and technical excellence demonstrated by the Institute’s students.
The Dean affirmed that the fundamental message of these activities lies in the belief that investing in youth is the true investment in the future, noting the continued organization of initiatives that support student talents and encourage them to employ modern technologies in the development of their scientific and entrepreneurial capabilities.
