In implementation of the Strategic Plan for Iraqi Women and within the framework of the leadership-empowerment pillar, the Women’s Affairs Division at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in cooperation with the Najaf Technical Institute, organized a specialized training course aimed at developing women’s leadership skills and enhancing their abilities in public speaking, debating, critical thinking, and team building.

The course was inaugurated in the presence of a number of female lecturers, employees, and students. The Women’s Affairs Division emphasized that these programs align with the university’s vision to elevate women’s capabilities and enable them to assume effective leadership roles within academic and community institutions.

The course extended over four training days and covered several key topics, including:

Public Speaking Skills (online): Delivered through an interactive digital platform to allow broader participation. It included training on building self-confidence, controlling tone of voice, and crafting impactful messages.

The Art of Debate: Addressed methods of constructing arguments, managing discussions, and providing logical responses in dialogue settings.

Critical Thinking: Provided participants with training in systematic analysis, evaluating information, identifying fallacies, and making sound decisions.

Team Building: Focused on cooperative leadership skills, role distribution, and motivating teamwork to achieve shared goals.

The course witnessed strong engagement from participants due to the practical exercises and applied training, which enhanced their self-confidence and strengthened their leadership skills.
