The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Presidency of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organized a workshop entitled “From Vision to Leadership: An Analytical Study of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University’s Research Path in Global Rankings,” under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadi.
The workshop was held in cooperation with the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at Dhi Qar University. It was inaugurated with a welcoming speech delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Awad Al-Abadi, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Badr Roumi, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at Dhi Qar University and a member of the ministerial team at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In his remarks, the University President explained that the workshop aims to introduce the strategic action plan through which the university seeks to achieve advanced positions in global rankings in the coming years. He also emphasized the importance of publishing scientific research in reputable international databases due to its effective role in improving the university’s ranking locally and globally, noting the university presidency’s commitment to supporting researchers and providing an appropriate scientific environment to enhance research output.
It is worth noting that the workshop addressed several important themes, most notably the university’s position in global rankings and the importance of developing the research pathway in a manner that contributes to strengthening the university’s standing at both the local and international levels.
The workshop was attended by members of the Central Rankings Committee, directors of Quality Assurance and University Performance divisions, and members of liaison committees in the university’s colleges and institutes.
This step comes as part of the university’s efforts to enhance its academic, research, and administrative reputation and to achieve its vision of being among internationally recognized educational institutions.
