In line with its strategic orientation toward strengthening the integration between academic and applied dimensions, and fostering alignment with labor market requirements, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organized, at Karbala Polytechnic College, the activities of the Third Spring Tourism Festival. The event was held by the Department of Tourism Technologies in cooperation with the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit under the theme: “Tourism Sustainability and the Empowerment of Entrepreneurial Projects,” in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi.
The festival featured a range of scientific and cultural activities, alongside official speeches emphasizing the importance of the tourism sector and the role of educational institutions in preparing specialized cadres. It also highlighted the support of entrepreneurial initiatives and the promotion of tourism sustainability concepts, with broad participation from academic and official stakeholders.
The event concluded with the افتتاح of a job fair, involving a number of companies and institutions, as a step aimed at linking educational outcomes with labor market demands and enhancing employment opportunities for graduates.
The organization of this festival reflects the university’s vision of supporting vital sectors, empowering youth capacities, and contributing to sustainable development and community service.
