Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Department of Student Activities organized the “Information Bank” competition for students of the university’s formations, within the framework of developing cognitive abilities and promoting students’ general knowledge.
The competition was held concurrently with the launch of the Entrepreneurship and Creativity Week at the Technical Institute of Najaf, in the presence of Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, Dean of the Institute; Assistant Professor Dr. Naseer Ahmed Kamil, Director of the Department of Student Activities; along with a number of university staff members and heads of departments. The event took place in an academic atmosphere that reflected the university’s commitment to supporting creativity and enhancing students’ scientific and intellectual capacities.
The judging committee was composed of specialized faculty members who were responsible for presenting the questions and managing the competition proceedings. The competition included a variety of scientific, cultural, intellectual, and sports-related questions, and witnessed distinguished academic competition among the participating students, reflecting their high level of preparation and excellence.
The results of the competition concluded with the Engineering Technical College of Najaf winning first place, the Technical Institute of Najaf securing second place, and the Technical Institute of Samawah achieving third place. The event was marked by commendation for the efforts of the participating students and the organizers of this scientific activity.
At the conclusion of the competition, the winning students were honored in recognition of their outstanding efforts, with emphasis placed on the importance of continuing such initiatives, which contribute to advancing the scientific and cultural standards of the university’s students.
