Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University took part in the Ministry of Health’s central celebration marking the World Day for Prosthetics and Medical Rehabilitation. The event was organized by the Directorate of Operations and Emergency Services under the patronage of the Minister of Health, Dr. Saleh Mahdi Al-Hassnawi, and held at the Directorate’s theater hall in Baghdad.
The celebration was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, international organizations, civil society, representatives of public and private universities, and specialists and technicians in prosthetics and orthopedic support. from across Iraq.
The university was represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Sahira Ayed Abd Al-Sahib, who highlighted that the event included the presentation of various research and studies aimed at advancing healthcare services for amputees and enhancing medical rehabilitation in Iraq. The event also showcased the latest innovations, technologies, and clinical testing devices used to evaluate the efficiency of prosthetics and orthopedic supports, benefiting those who rely on such technologies.
This participation reflects the university’s commitment to fostering collaboration with healthcare institutions to serve the university and the broader community.
