The Babylon Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University participated in the Reconstruction and Investment Forum, held in the ancient city of Babylon, in the center of Babylon Governorate.
The university was represented by the Dean of the Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Oras Khudair Obies, and a number of the Institute staff. This came in response to an invitation from the Babylon Governorate and on the occasion of the celebration of the World Day of Babylonian Civilization in 2025.
This participation came within the framework of strengthening joint cooperation between educational institutions and government departments, on the one hand; and opening up horizons for communication with investment entities and development projects that contribute to supporting the reconstruction process and enhancing the status of Babylon Governorate at the locally and internationally.
The forum was attended by a group of government officials, academic figures, and local and foreign investors. The forum reviewed the available investment opportunities in the governorate, emphasizing the importance of investing in Babylon’s rich cultural heritage, which contributes to driving the local economy and revitalizing the cultural tourism sector.
The Institute’s participation in this event stems from its vision to support sustainable development and its efforts to build genuine partnerships with the community, public institutions, and the private sector, enhancing its scientific and applied role in serving Babylon Governorate.
