Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, students from Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University participated in the University Debate World Cup organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the International Academy for Leadership and Development, hosted by the University of Kufa.
Dr. Nasir Ahmed, Director of the Student Activities Department at the University Presidency, explained that the event aims to enhance students’ debate and discussion skills, focusing on developing their abilities in critical thinking, dialogue, and presenting logical opinions on various societal topics within a competitive atmosphere filled with constructive discussions.
The debates witnessed extensive participation from both public and private universities, where the participating teams presented diverse topics using research-based and scientific methods. This event aligns with the university’s efforts to support various student activities that foster intellectual and social skills among students.
