As part of its strategic vision to strengthen institutional partnerships and link the academic path with practical application, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University signed a joint cooperation agreement with Beit Al-Hikma Training and Consulting Company on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the university presidency. The agreement aims to collaborate in organizing and implementing training and consulting programs that contribute to developing scientific and professional capacities and supporting sustainable development pathways.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the university by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and on behalf of Beit Al-Hikma Training and Consulting Company by Mr. Hisham Khalid, the company’s authorized director, reflecting the commitment of both parties to establish an effective institutional framework for joint cooperation in line with approved reform and development plans.

The agreement outlines several areas of collaboration, including the exchange of expertise and technical support, preparing studies and joint plans to evaluate and develop academic and training programs, organizing courses, workshops, and lectures, as well as collaborating in the organization of an annual career fair. It also emphasizes promoting scientific research and publishing studies through accredited scientific channels, in addition to engaging students in training programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels to enhance their readiness for the labor market.

In support of national priorities, the agreement also provides for cooperation in preparing and implementing specialized training programs focused on the application of Iraq’s national strategy for women, aiming to empower women, build their leadership and professional capacities, and strengthen their active participation in economic and social development. This aspect is supervised and followed up by Assistant Lecturer Ikhlas Razaq Nuham, head of the Women’s Affairs Division, in coordination with relevant authorities.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Director of the Parks and Information Technology Department, the Director of the Continuing Education Center, the head of the Women’s Affairs Division, and the head of the Employment and Qualification Division. During the meeting, mechanisms for implementing the agreement’s provisions were discussed, preliminary plans for the training programs were developed, and target beneficiaries—including students, staff, and women leaders—were identified.

In his remarks during the signing, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs emphasized that this agreement represents an important step toward enhancing integration between academic institutions and the training and consulting sector, positively reflecting on the quality of educational outputs and community service.

On the other hand, the Executive Director of Beit Al-Hikma Training and Consulting Company expressed the company’s readiness to leverage its scientific and training expertise to ensure the success of the joint programs and achieve the agreement’s objectives.

This agreement is part of a series of initiatives through which the university seeks to expand cooperation with reputable institutions in alignment with its academic mission and strategic plans, reinforcing its role in sustainable community development.
