With the patronage of the Dean of the Institute, Prof. Dr. Qahtan Adnan Al-Fatlawi, the Student Activities Division at Al-Rumaitha Technical Institute, in collaboration with the Al-Rumaitha Youth Forum, organized a Fine Arts Festival featuring local artists, such as painters and calligraphers. The festival attracted significant attendance from students and visitors alike.

The event was inaugurated with the presence of the dean’s assistants of administrative and scientific affairs, and several faculty members and artists, who highlighted the importance of such events in fostering artistic culture within the academic community.

The festival featured a variety of art exhibitions, showcasing diverse works in painting and Arabic calligraphy. A key highlight was a collection of innovative paintings by Dr. Zeina Mohammed Al-Karaawi, capturing aspects of reality. In addition, the calligrapher Amir Salman Al-Waaili exhibited exquisite calligraphy pieces alongside his drawings. Many young artists from Al-Rumaitha also displayed their creative works.
In his opening remarks, the Dean highlighted the significance of such festivals in nurturing young talents and encouraging artistic creativity. He reiterated the institute’s commitment to organizing cultural and artistic events that contribute to skill development and foster an appreciation for the arts. The Dean also extended his gratitude to Mr. Mohammed Raji Al-Hassani, Head of the Student Activities Division, for his outstanding efforts in organizing and managing the festival.

At the event’s conclusion, the Dean expressed sincere thanks to Mr. Ahmed Kamel Al-Rayes, Director of the Al-Rumaitha Youth Forum, for his collaboration in supporting emerging artistic talents.

The festival was received wide acclaim by attendees, many of whom expressed admiration for the quality and diversity of the displayed artworks. They also encourage the continuing such artistic initiatives in the future.
