In light of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to activate scientific research in Iraqi universities, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University continues to hold meetings and workshops with faculty members and specialists to develop the future plan for scientific conferences in partnership with local and international universities.
Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the university president, affirmed in a series of related meetings recently held the importance of quality scientific research and its contribution to finding solutions to real problems in various sectors.
Furthermore, Al-Zuhairy emphasized the need to evaluate the outcomes of the scientific conferences organized by the university, whether at the local or international levels. The latest conference was the second International Scientific Conference held at the University of Tabriz in partnership with the University of the Mustaqbal, aiming to achieve sustainable development goals.
He also stressed the importance of adopting conferences and workshops that align with the latest developments in both local and international arenas. Additionally, there should be a focus on the credibility of the institutions agreed upon for publishing conference proceedings.
