As part of the efforts of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to activate scientific research and enhance international reputation, Prof, Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, President of the University, conducted a series of talks during his visit to Istanbul Aydin University to reach agreements regarding the organization of the first international scientific conference on sustainable digital transformation in partnership with Istanbul Aydin University, as well as the University of Al-Mustaqbal and Information Technology.
In his speech, Al-Zuhairy pointed out that the holding of this conference comes in response to the orientations of the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research regarding digital transformation and automation. It was agreed that the conference will include four research tracks related to digital transformation in the fields of information technology, engineering fields, human resource management, education, and public administration.
It is expected that the conference will be held in Istanbul at the beginning of February 2024.
In the same context, Al-Zuhairy and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the infrastructure of Istanbul Aydin University, especially the spaces, halls, and facilities for hosting the conference.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University had previously organized two international conferences outside Iraq in the field of achieving sustainable development goals, the first in the University of Altınbaş in Turkey in mid-2022 ,and the second in the University of Tabriz in Iran in mid-2023.
