At the invitation of the Presidency of the Northern Technical University, the President of the ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, attended the proceedings of the opening of the first international scientific conference for medical sciences held by the Northern University in Kirkuk with the participation of a number of researchers in the medical field from a number of universities the number of research accepted in the conference reached forty-eight out of one hundred research papers submitted to the conference.

The President of Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar gave a speech in which she highlighted the most important achievements of the university during the past period, foremost of which is the scientific research movement.
The President of the University was honored at the conference, which was attended by a number of representatives of university presidents, deans, assistants, and officials in the local government. On the other hand, the President of the University made a statement to the media in which he stressed the importance of scientific research and building partnerships with international universities because of its positive repercussions on Iraqi universities’ reputations.
