As part of the coordination and joint work between the Central and Regional Universities, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, visited Duhok Polytechnic University, where he was received by Dr. Aree Adel Abdul-Qadir, the university president.
During the meeting, which was attended by the heads and representatives of both universities, Al-Zuhairy emphasized the importance of activating the provisions of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides earlier, especially as it included many areas of scientific and cultural interest.
The meeting also focused on initiating the procedures for preparing to hold the fourth edition of the International Scientific Conference on Medical and Biological Sciences, following the success of the third edition, which was held in early 2023 in partnership with Duhok Polytechnic University and received acclaim from the scientific and academic community in the region.
The president of Duhok Polytechnic University expressed her warm welcome to Al-Zuhairy and his accompanying delegation, expressing the university’s readiness to cooperate in various fields.
Al-Zuhairy, in a statement to the university media, indicated that it is expected that the conference will be held in mid-April 2024. During the meeting, agreements were reached on the agenda, committees, timing, and other details. The official announcement of the conference will be made in the coming days, God willing.
It is worth noting that the accompanying delegation of the university president included vice president for scientific affairs Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanim Wadaei, vice president for administration affairs Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdulmohsen Al-Majtoumi, dean of Al-Kufa Institute,Prof. Dr. Fadel Sami, and several department directors at the university presidency.
