The Chancellor of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU), Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, launched a new rest station with 300 square meters split into three spaces, two of which were roofed with tiles and the third with solar energy cells. There are also tables and chairs for students to sit on and charge connections for electronic devices at the station. This is consistent with the University’s commitment to utilizing renewable energy and meeting sustainable development goals.
The project was completed by the engineering and technical team of the University’s Presidency’s Department of Construction and Projects. The Chancellor of the University praised the Department of Construction and Projects and other support departments for their efforts in completing the project, while also emphasizing that the reconstruction process at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) is moving quickly in all university campuses to achieve an exemplary university sustainable environment.
