Within the framework of the university’s directions and its endeavor to improve the educational and service reality, adopt renewable energies and achieve the goals of sustainable development, the President of ALFurat  ALAwsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, inaugurated Department of Renewable Energy Technologies, which was developed in addition to the CNC workshop at the Karbala Technical Institute, the department includes laboratories that have been equipped with all the requirements.

It makes it a model laboratory that provides high-quality training for the drum and a CNC workshop that provides educational services to students in addition to technical services for the university’s uses.

Where the university and all its institutions are witnessing a comprehensive campaign in the field of reconstruction, construction, and rehabilitation of infrastructure that makes it in need of several works provided by this workshop Al-Zuhairy gave a speech in which pointed out the importance of opening this department, which simulates the requirements of the labor market, as the main goal of the university is to provide the student with the ability and skill the President of the University stressed that the university attached importance to such departments and laboratories related to the implementation of the sustainable development goals announced by the United Nations in its 2030 agenda.

Al-Zuhairy also opened an exhibition of students’ and professors’ scientific productions and research projects and reviewed some scientific literature to supplement the scientific arena in addition to patents and the scientific certificates obtained by the associates during their participation in international scientific conferences and in the same context the President of the University opened the new entrance to the Institute, which was recently completed.

In the end, the President of the University honored many staff who had a distinguished role in completing projects at the Institute, wishing everyone continued success in their work.
