Al-Zuhairy inaugurates the Zamzam Square and station project for refrigerated drinking water and computers laboratories building on the campus in Kufa.
. Within the colleges and Institutes of the university’s orientations and its endeavor to upgrade the educational and service infrastructures .. The President of ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, and in the presence of the Governor of Najaf Al-Ashraf Dr. Majid Al-Waeli, inaugurated the project of Zamzam Square and Station for refrigerated Drinking Water on the Campus in Kufa and the building of computers laboratories at the Institute of Kufa, where the project was started at the beginning of July of this year by the Engineering Technical staff in the Department of Reconstruction and Projects at the Presidency of the University and the Technical Institute of Kufa.
The project includes the construction and installation of a water filtration system using RO technology and a cooling system to provide chilled water for students with a capacity of 1000 liters per hour, in addition to the rehabilitation of a yard surrounding the station with an area of 1600 square meters, in addition to other accessories of student seating benches, which were equipped with sockets for charging electrical devices in addition to night lights for the site.
It should be noted that the project is the second of its kind in the university campus in Kufa, where the Al-Kawthar potable water plant was previously opened in late 2021.
The building of the computer laboratories was also opened at the Technical Institute of Kufa, which includes three laboratories that were equipped with all the necessary requirements of equipment, furniture and equipment that make them model laboratories that provide high-quality training.
This was witnessed by the opening ceremony, which was attended by vice president , a number of deans of University Institutions , directors of departments in the presidency of the University, Staff and students of the Kufa Technical Institute.. The honoring of the Dean of the Kufa Technical Institute, Prof. Dr. Fadel Sami, the Director of the Reconstruction and Projects Department at the Presidency of the University, Dr. Muhannad Al-Khaqani, and the Director of Departments witnessed the honoring the director of dormitories , Dr. Hassan Hadi, the Director of Diwan Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Abbas, and the engineering and technical staff that participated in the implementation of the project.
