Within the approach of openness and communication with Iraqi, Arab, and international private universities and colleges, the President of ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy signed a memorandum of scientific and cultural with Al-Rafidain University College.
At the beginning of the signing ceremony, Al-Zuhairy welcomed the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Jawad Abu Shaeir, and his accompanying delegation and stressed in his speech the necessity of the need for communication between the institutions of public universities and private colleges to promote and develop scientific and cultural programs and student activities. Al-Zuhairy said that the signing of the memorandum of understanding came in line with the policy of the ministry, represented by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to find a real and effective twin between public universities and private colleges for the development of universities to develop universities to achieve their elevation and elevation at the Arab and international levels in his speech, Dr. Abu Shaeir gave an overview of the college’s specializations and what has been achieved recently from scientific achievements, hoping that the message of understanding will benefit both parties. The memorandum of understanding dealt with the possibility of exchanging scientific experiences through the exchange of professors to conduct research scientific meetings, lectures, and discussions of theses, as well as support for scientific projects and training programs. The memorandum also included cooperation in the field of developing curricula in the corresponding departments to benefit from the laboratory equipment of both parties.
The memorandum stressed the strengthening of cooperation in the field of authorship and publication of scientific research in sober magazines within the international scientific containers, in addition to attending conferences, seminars, workshops, scientific and cultural competitions, and participating in scientific activities and events organized by the parties. On the sidelines of the signing of the memorandum of understanding, the visiting delegation toured the campus to see examples of promising projects adopted by the university. The visiting delegation included the vice Dean of the College for scientific and administrative affairs and several specialists, while the signing of the memorandum of understanding from ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University was attended by the vice president for Scientific and Administrative affairs of the University and several directors of the concerned departments in the Presidency of the University.
