Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, participated in the regular meeting of the technical universities, hosted by the Presidency of the Northern Technical University in Erbil, in the presence of the Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abd Dahd, and the presidents of the technical universities in the center and the region.
In his speech, Al-Zuhairy emphasized the importance of technical education and its role in driving the country’s economy forward, as well as the challenges facing this important sector and the university’s future vision and its efforts to provide the best performance in all aspects of work, including securing the educational process, promoting scientific research, and serving the community.
The meeting included a review of various topics, including progress made in implementing the Bologna Process, internationalization of technical universities and their independence, curriculum development, and innovations in scientific departments. Necessary recommendations were made regarding the items presented on the agenda.
During the meeting, two documentaries about the Northern Technical University and Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University were also presented.
