The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University organized a workshop entitled (Presentation and discussion of Iraqi standards for laboratory quality), for officials of the quality assurance divisions and laboratory quality units in all university institutions .
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, in his speech during the opening of the workshop, welcomed the guests and pointed out the importance of the Ministry’s support to universities in enhancing the role of laboratories in technical education and raising their level as much as students need to practice practically within the university. In a way that contributes to providing the university’s outputs with the skills required to meet the needs of the labor market.
In the context of his speech, pointed out that the process of continuous improvement is the basis in achieving quality to reach reliability, which is the aim pursued by all educational institutions. On the other hand, Dr. Ali Najah Kadhim, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, reviewed the Iraqi standards for the quality of laboratories with their recent update and guidance of the institutes and colleges of the university to start working according to these standards.
The vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai during his attendance at the workshop, expressed his thanks for the efforts of the cadres of the quality assurance in the university institutions and their distinguished role in accomplishing the tasks to the fullest.
