Another achievement is added to the series of achievements… Al-Zuhairy announces the approval of the Ministry to establish evening studies in a number of departments at the university.

Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, announced the approval of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to establish evening studies in a number of specialized departments at the university. These departments include nine scientific departments for the academic year 2023-2024, distributed among the university’s departments within the geographical area, as explained below:

1. College of Health and Medical Technology: Establishment of two departments, Vision Examination Techniques and Medical Rehabilitation Techniques.
2. Babil Technical Institute: Department of Pharmacy Techniques.
3. Karbala Technical Institute: Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques.
4. Qadisiyah Technical Institute: Department of Prosthetic and Orthotic Techniques.
5. Samawah Technical Institute: Department of Oil and Gas Refining Techniques, in addition to the Department of Renal Dialysis Techniques.
6. Musayyib Technical Institute: Department of Medical Devices Techniques.
7. Najaf Technical Institute: Department of Dental Industry Techniques.

Al-Zuhairy congratulated all the university’s departments on their scientific and administrative achievements, stating that this is the first time the university has witnessed such a number of specialized additions in evening studies since its establishment. He also reiterated that the university is progressing in establishing programs and specializations that meet the needs of the job market, whether in undergraduate or postgraduate studies, while also suspending admissions in some departments that no longer align with the needs of society.
