As part of its efforts to strengthen its position among Iraqi universities, advance its scientific and educational status, and build genuine partnerships with its counterparts in the region and the world in the field of joint scientific research, as well as exchange scientific and practical expertise among faculty members and supervise undergraduate and graduate students… The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Vice President Walaa Rahim Al-Saa’bari, received a delegation from Ferdowsi University headed by the Scientific Assistant, Professor Hamid Reza Danesh Nari, on an official visit to the university.
During the meeting, avenues for joint scientific cooperation between the two universities were discussed in a number of academic and scientific fields of mutual interest, including the exchange of expertise and the possibility of organizing joint scientific activities. For his part, the University President, Professor Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, presented an overview of the university, its formations distributed across five governorates in the Middle Euphrates, its important projects, and its role in serving the community.
He also reviewed a number of proposals regarding areas of potential partnership between the university and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He explained that the discussions held during his visit to Ferdowsi University at the end of last week addressed developing a cooperation strategy with Ferdowsi University to strengthen international relations in various fields. He noted that the university is working to open channels of communication with various prestigious international universities, particularly Iranian universities.
Dr. Nari expressed his satisfaction with his presence in Iraq and provided an overview of the university’s future plans and his aspiration to build bridges of joint cooperation between his university and Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. He emphasized the importance of benefiting from shared expertise and contributing to the exchange of modern technologies and sciences to serve the scientific research process.
The two sides affirmed cooperation in areas of common interest to both parties.
They also agreed to exchange knowledge resources and programs that contribute to achieving academic goals.
The Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Najah, and a number of department directors accompanied the guests on a tour of the University of Kufa campus to view its campus environment, its newly established projects, its classrooms, and its model specialized laboratories equipped with modern technology. They also viewed the Continuing Education Center and other service facilities. Al-Saabari and the head of the delegation expressed their admiration for the progress they had witnessed in the completion of the construction and reconstruction projects, their high-quality specifications, and their commendation of the efforts of the University President and its senior staff. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation to enhance scientific research and community service. They agreed to form a working group of officials and faculty members from both universities to develop a joint cooperation strategy and strengthen the partnership in the aforementioned areas.
