He noted that the university has achieved significant progress in research output, with more than 3,500 published papers indexed in Scopus and Clarivate, contributing to the university’s inclusion in several prestigious global rankings at the local, regional, and international levels. He added that such achievements would not have been possible without the dedication of the university’s academic staff, who have made scientific research a hallmark of their professional commitment.

He also emphasized his support for applied research addressing real societal challenges across different sectors, expressing hope that conferences of this caliber will continue to strengthen partnerships in ways that serve the educational process.

The conference aims to exchange expertise, explore the latest advancements in medical, health, and biological sciences, and examine exemplary diagnostic and therapeutic methods for treating diseases—thus contributing to the improvement of healthcare quality in fields such as medical laboratories, community health technologies, nursing, and pharmaceutical therapeutics.

At the end of his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the scientific committee and participating researchers, hoping that their studies would find wide application in real-world practice. He also extended his appreciation to the preparatory and media committees and all supporting committees that contributed to the success of this distinguished conference.

For his part, the head of the conference’s preparatory committee and Dean of Kufa Technical Institute, Prof. Dr. Athir Kazem Abbadi, stated that 120 research papers were submitted, of which 70 were accepted.
