As part of the initiatives undertaken by Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to achieve sustainable development goals by increasing green spaces, promoting work in the agricultural sector, and embodying the concept of a productive university,
the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, followed up on the agricultural projects at the university campus in Kufa.
The university president toured the harvest season of hanging cucumbers in the greenhouses, in addition to overseeing the covered agricultural fields (greenhouses) planted with strawberries, cherry tomatoes, and various vegetables, including leafy vegetables, peppers, cauliflower, and broccoli.
For his part, the President of the University confirmed the support and adoption of the university administration for all initiatives and proposals submitted by specialists in the agricultural sector. He also directed the expansion of the number of greenhouses and the increase of surrounding green spaces.
Accompanying the President during his inspection tour were Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mohsen Al-Mujtumi, the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, the Deans of the Kufa and Najaf Technical Institutes, and the Director of Administrative Affairs, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Abdul.
