His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Oubaidi, met with Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, in his office. At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the University expressed his gratitude and high appreciation to His Excellency the Minister for his continuous support to the university. He presented a brief overview of the important initiatives recently adopted by the university to achieve the highest levels of performance in scientific, administrative, and community services. This includes the university’s steps towards digital transformation and the programs and specialties that the university intends to establish to meet the needs of the labor market and the partnerships achieved by the university through the Industrial Advisory Council, as well as the progress made in implementing the Bologna process.
Al-Zuhairy also briefed the Minister on the progress of work in the projects undertaken by the university as part of the construction and development campaign currently taking place in all university formations, which will provide a model university environment.
On his part, the Minister affirmed his support for all initiatives that contribute to improving performance and make the university an active element in society through the ideas, visions, and proposals it offers, which contribute to finding solutions to real problems in various sectors and driving the wheel of progress forward.
