Within the framework of enhancing professional awareness and linking academic knowledge with labor market requirements, the Najaf Technical Institute at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University organized a specialized scientific seminar entitled “Pathways to Professional Excellence in the Cosmetics and Laser Sector.” The seminar was delivered by Dr. Hassanein Al-Saadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Maria Company from the United Arab Emirates (Sharjah), with the participation of researchers, specialists, and a distinguished group of faculty members and students.

The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of professional excellence and highlight its significance in the cosmetics and laser sector, while shedding light on available employment opportunities and career pathways. It also sought to raise awareness of professional and ethical standards for practicing this specialization in accordance with scientific principles that ensure safety and quality.

The seminar further focused on empowering practitioners and interested participants to develop their technical and scientific skills, clarifying the role of continuing education and accredited certifications in enhancing career development. In addition, it encouraged innovation and entrepreneurship, and emphasized linking theoretical knowledge with practical application to achieve effective and safe outcomes.

Several scientific themes were addressed, most notably the current status of the cosmetics and laser sector in terms of advancements in modern technologies, the level of demand in the labor market, and future challenges and opportunities.

The seminar also discussed available career pathways, including employment in cosmetic centers and clinics, specialization in laser technologies, engagement in vocational training and education, project management, and the establishment of cosmetic centers.

Moreover, the seminar emphasized the skills required for professional excellence, such as technical competence, communication skills, time management, and adherence to occupational health and safety standards. It also highlighted the importance of education, training, professional accreditation, professional ethics, and safe practices, in addition to innovation, entrepreneurship, the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence, brand building, and digital marketing.

In this regard, the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, affirmed his full support for such scientific seminars, stressing their importance in educating students, preparing them for the labor market, and encouraging them to develop their scientific and practical skills in line with the rapid developments in modern professional sectors, particularly the cosmetics and laser sector, which is witnessing increasing growth.

The seminar concluded by underscoring the importance of integration between academic education and practical application, contributing to the enhancement of professional and ethical awareness among students and interested participants through a specialized scientific presentation delivered by a field expert, supported by academic administration aimed at building a qualified generation capable of keeping pace with labor market requirements.
