On International Women’s Day, March 8th, the Chancellor of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University (ATU) organized a ceremony as part of the Women’s Empowerment Unit’s activities.
Mrs. Zainab Hussein Al-Bakka, Head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit, delivered a speech at the event, emphasizing the significance of women and their vital role in society.
ATU University Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy thanked everyone on occasion, emphasizing that women are the fundamental link in the family’s construction, which is the basis for constructing society.
In his address, Al-Zuhairy listed important titles and names of women who had a significant effect on the renaissance of countries, both in the early days of Islam and subsequent historical periods, as well as in modern history.
Al-Zuhairy closed his address by stating that women are society’s backbone and that if they were virtuous, society would be righteous as well.
The scientific and administrative assistants to the university’s chancellor, several heads of faculties, and a group of associates all attended the occasion.
