A Ministerial Committee Visits Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to Monitor and Evaluate the Performance of the Security Clearances and Follow-up Department
As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to develop the performance of security clearance and follow-up departments at Iraqi universities, recognizing their important role in maintaining security and ensuring a safe university environment, a specialized ministerial committee visited Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University.
The committee was headed by Dr. Wissam Al-Lami, Director of the Ministry’s Security Clearances and Follow-up Department, and included nine members from the Ministry’s central office.
The committee was received by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, who welcomed the visiting delegation and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting the department, given its vital role, and ensuring full compliance with the applicable regulations and instructions.
During the visit, the committee inspected the university’s various organizational units and reviewed the work of the department’s divisions, including the issuance of identification badges and access permits, information and inquiry services, the movement of visitors and guests, and the operation of surveillance cameras.
The committee’s visits covered the university’s organizational units in Samawah, Al-Rumaitha, Al-Qadisiyah, Najaf, Kufa, Karbala, Babil, and Al-Musayyib. The visits formed part of the committee’s efforts to monitor operations, assess performance, and evaluate compliance with the relevant security procedures and administrative regulations.
