Ministry of Higher Education Announces the Launch of Applications for the Colleges of Excellence and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad for the 2026/2027 Academic Year
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the launch of electronic applications for the College of Excellence and the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The Ministry explains that the application requirements and regulations stipulate that applicants must be graduates of secondary school for the 2025/2026 academic year, with a final average of no less than 85%. Admission also requires passing an English language test and a personal interview.
The Ministry of Higher Education states that graduates of both the Scientific and Literary branches may apply to the College of Excellence. Scientific branch students are eligible to apply to all departments, while Literary branch students may apply only to the following departments:
- Business Administration and E-Commerce
- Accounting and Banking
- Philosophy and Sociology
As for the College of Artificial Intelligence, graduates of the Scientific branch may apply to the following departments:
- Engineering Applications
- Biomedical Applications
- Big Data
In this regard, students who passed the first-round examinations are eligible to apply to both colleges. If the approved admission plan is not fully completed, the remaining vacant seats will be filled by graduates of the first and second examination rounds, according to the minimum admission scores of the respective departments.
Regarding the application form, Scientific branch graduates may:
▪️ Select at least two departments when applying to the College of Artificial Intelligence.
▪️ Select at least three departments when applying to the College of Excellence.
▪️ Rank their choices from both colleges together if they wish to apply to both.
Literary branch graduates must select at least two departments when applying to the College of Excellence.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirms that applications must be submitted through the Qudim Platform application and will remain open until Sunday, September 27, 2026.
