Mission
The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University is committed to providing training, counseling, academic programs, guidance services, and psychological consultations, as well as supporting academically outstanding students, in addition to identifying and addressing individual differences and nurturing them.
Objectives
- The division aims to follow up on student issues, address them, and find appropriate solutions in cooperation with the academic advisor. It also discusses unacceptable behaviors within the student environment to address them and highlight them through awareness activities, encouraging and showcasing individual initiatives. In addition, it implements annual programs for supporting high-achieving students, follows up on cases of underachievement and absenteeism, and carries out preventive programs, as well as participates in community activities.

Preparing and carrying out psychological counseling and academic guidance -

Assigning stage advisors according to the academic departments in our university -
Holding regular meetings with first-year students and students of other stages in our university -
Holding regular meetings with faculty stage representatives in the college departments through Google Meet -
Weekly meetings and follow-ups with the heads of counseling committees in all university departments to enhance communication methods with students and provide guidance -
Coordinating with faculty representatives of the Counseling Unit to resolve obstacles reported to the unit by students -
