In implementation of the recommendations of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers…and in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi.
Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, with all its colleges and institutions, organized celebrations to mark the Iraqi National Day, which coincided with the seventh anniversary of the Great Victory Day…
The celebrations included distinctive activities expressing pride and honor in achieving victory against the forces of terrorism and extremism.
The celebrations were attended by a number of prominent figures, including members of the University Council, professors and students, in addition to a number of guests from local community institutions.
The events also included touching speeches delivered by the university president, in which the importance of Victory Day was emphasized in promoting the values of unity and sacrifice for the homeland, and reminding the younger generations of the heroism of the Iraqi army, and the sacrifices made by the heroes for the liberation of Iraq, as well as enhancing the spirit of national belonging and instilling the values of loyalty and belonging among students.
Al-Zubaidi added that this occasion reflects the spirit of patriotism and social cohesion at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University and enhances the role of education in building a better future for Iraq.
A candlelight march was also organized by students of the university formations on their graduation day, reflecting the epic of victory and the glorious history of Iraq.
On the other hand, awareness seminars and lectures were also held on the role of youth in building the future and contributing to the stability of the country, which reflects the university’s vision in enhancing national awareness among students, and urging them to persevere, excel and innovate in order to achieve more progress and prosperity for the country.
