The first preparatory meeting was held at the presidency of ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University to prepare for the establishment of the International Scientific Conference to achieve the goals of sustainable development in its second edition in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, and the Dean of the Faculty of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and the concerned parties of the conference from both side.
It should be noted that the conference in its first edition was held with the Turkish University of Ten Bash Istanbul in mid-June of this year, which achieved great success at both levels Local & Global.
Al-Zuhairy stressed the continuation of the partnership between ALFurat ALAwsat Technical University and Faculty of Al-Mustaqbal University and its strengthening in all scientific and cultural fields.
The subject of sustainable development has become a priority of attention for governments at the local and international levels, especially after the United Nations announced the Sustainable Development Goals. The Dean of Faculty of Al-Mustaqbal University Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy for his part stressed the readiness of the college to exert all possible efforts to support this activity.
The meeting resulted in a set of recommendations, including naming the supervisory, preparatory, scientific and supporting committees and agreeing on the draft introductory folder for the conference the relevant themes and the setting of a date for the conference in mid-February 2023 . It is hoped that the conference will be held outside Iraq in partnership with one of Arab universities.
