As part of the efforts to enhance the university environment, and as part of the university president’s field visits to review the progress of the construction projects, the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, followed up on the construction projects progress on Kufa campus. During his follow-up, Al-Zubaidi was briefed on the progress of these projects, which position the university as a model, attractive, and sustainable university environment.
This comes as part of the university president’s efforts to expand the program for new specializations that meet the needs of the labor market. This is in addition to expanding the admissions plan for morning and evening studies for undergraduate students, and also in the field of developing graduate programs.
Al-Zubaidi directed the acceleration of work, taking into account the adoption of high-quality engineering specifications, while emphasizing the facility’s architectural identity, which is characterized by modernity while preserving its architectural heritage.
It is worth noting that these projects were supervised by Dr. Muhannad Abdul Zahra Al-Khaqani, Director of the Construction and Projects Department at the University Presidency, in cooperation with the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, Mr. Muhammad Abbas Abd. He commended the efforts of the engineering and technical staff and the supporting staff involved in these projects, which are expected to be inaugurated soon.
The University President was accompanied during his field tour by the University President’s Assistants for Academic and Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Waddai and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mohsen Al-Majtoumi, the Dean of the Kufa Technical Institute, Prof. Dr. Athir Kazim, and a number of the university’s department directors.
