The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, accompanied by the Director of the Internal Audit and Control Department, Mr. Mustafa Sabah Jihad, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the Financial Audit Directorate and Training Center building in AL- Najaf Al-Ashraf, organized by the Federal Board of Supreme Audit.
Dr. Hassan Al-Makhzoumi, Director of the Directorate, stated that the ceremony was attended by the President of the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, Certified Public Accountant Dr. Ammar Subhi Khalaf, and the Director General of the Sixth Region Audit, Dr. Emad Al-Asadi, in addition to a number of academic figures and government officials from various departments across the province.
He further explained that the purpose of the building is to support financial audit efforts in the governorate by providing a modern work environment that enhances financial oversight mechanisms for public funds. The training center within the facility is equipped with the latest technologies aimed at enhancing the efficiency of staff and preparing them to tackle the economic and financial challenges facing Iraq.
The center also aims to promote transparency and accountability in governmental operations, improving oversight of public institutions to ensure efficient use of public funds and to deliver better services to citizens.
