Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Kadhim Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, received MP Ahmed Majid Mutab Al-Sharmani at his office.
The two sides discussed areas of mutual cooperation that would strengthen mutual understanding, consolidate relations, and facilitate the exchange of expertise and consultations in scientific research in fields of common interest. Such cooperation would contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in coordination with relevant state institutions.
For his part, the University President expressed his readiness to cooperate with initiatives of this kind, particularly with regard to high-quality projects and sustainable plans, through the university and its various academic formations distributed across five provinces in the Middle Euphrates region.
Al-Sharmani, for his part, affirmed his support for the development of the university’s projects and development plans across educational institutions.
In a related context, the University President accompanied Al-Sharmani, together with Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Mohsen Al-Majtoumi, Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, on a tour of the university’s Al-Kufa formations to learn about the technical education environment.
Al-Sharmani praised the development witnessed by the university’s campus environment in recent times, as well as the progress achieved through its reconstruction and development campaign and the establishment of high-quality new academic programs in promising fields. He also commended the transformation of technical institutes into Polytechnic Colleges.
During the visit, Al-Sharmani met with the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies in Babylon, Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Ajjam, along with a number of university staff members, and listened to their needs and concerns.
