Quality and Performance Assurance Department at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Holds workshops

Under the directives of the President of the University of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University Prof. Dr. Abdul Kadhim Al-Yasiri in intensifying the scientific efforts to establish a solid scientific base for the university and the advancement of scientific reality, The Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance hold workshops for the Heads of scientific departments in the colleges and institutes within the scope of Al-Furat Al-Awsat region on The Conference Hall of Administrative College /Kufa .The first workshop of the university’s faculties was held in Najaf Governorate (technical, health, medical, engineering and administrative colleges as well as the technical institutes of Najaf and Kufa) with the participation of both the director of Continuous education department Assist.Prof.Dr. Mahdi Hatif Khadim, who addressed some of the important issues related to (the national classification of the quality of Iraqi universities and scientific departments and how to promote them). The Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and Performance, Dr. Ali Najah Al-Shamani, addressed many topics related to this Department, and the discussion between the heads of scientific departments, on the other hand, the Director of the Accreditation Division. Dr. Abdul-Razzaq gave a detailed explanation on the laboratory accreditation classification and the laboratory coding mechanism. The evaluation mechanism of the performance of the instructors and the professors regarding the scientific research axis was summarized by the head of the evaluation and university performance department by assist. instructor. Hyder Saied, the responsible of Division of warranty and quality Mohamed Jassab Mehdi , explained how to publish research in the world-class magazines and the factor ( H-index ) , with the emphasis on the dissemination of research with impact factors in the world’s sensitive magazines, and then allowed to discuss all what was put in this workshop with the appropriate solutions to some problems Using new evaluation mechanisms.
In the same context, the second workshop was held at the Technical Institute / Babel for the chairmen of the scientific departments within the formations of the university affiliated to the province of Babylon and Karbala (Technical College Musayib and the institutes of Babylon and Karbala and Musayib technical College). the third workshop will held on Al-Diwaniah Technical Institute for Simawa, Rumaitha and Al-Diwaniah technical institutes.
