Retirement Division
- Receiving requests and official correspondence related to retirement.
- Preparing a comprehensive statistical report on the university staff regarding reaching the legal retirement age, updating it annually, and reviewing it monthly.
- Following up on the extension of service for Professors and Associate Professors according to the law and issuing the necessary orders.
- Submitting studies listing staff who have reached retirement age to the University President to obtain approval for retirement 30 days before the referral date.
- Referring staff who have reached the legal retirement age to retirement according to the provisions of the Unified Retirement Law No. 9 of 214 and the University Service Law No. 23 of 28 (amended).
- Processing retirement requests from staff who wish to retire before reaching the legal retirement age.
- Referring staff to retirement for medical reasons based on decisions of the medical committees.
- Referring politically dismissed employees to retirement upon reaching the age of 65.
- Granting retirement benefits and other entitlements to retirees according to applicable laws and regulations.
- Following up on procedures for adjusting service records for academic staff and employees according to current regulations.
- Contracting retirees as experts, senior experts, or chief experts according to Decision No. 28 of 29 and the rules of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
- Contracting non-retirees according to Decision No. 297 of 21 and the rules of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
- Granting retirees salaries for accumulated leave up to 180 days according to Paragraph (1) of Article 45 of the Civil Service Law No. 24 of 196.
- Granting academic staff salaries for summer leave added to accumulated leave if it does not exceed 180 days, according to Article 48 of the Civil Service Law No. 24 of 196, provided they did not receive these salaries during the summer vacation.
- Extending service for politically dismissed employees or relatives of martyrs according to the rules and regulations.
The division also handles political dismissal matters, including receiving ministerial mail, implementing decisions regarding inclusion or exclusion under the Political Dismissals Law No. 24 of 25, auditing dual political dismissal decisions to determine unlawful periods for committee review, implementing suspension decisions, and following up on responses to the ministry.
