The Department of Mechanical Technologies held a scientific symposium entitled (Renewable Energy) where Mrs. Rua’a Hussein Jassem and Mrs. Doaa Fadel Kazem conducted presentations at the scientific seminar on Sunday, 20/2/2022, with a number of the department’s staff and students. The symposium aimed to learn about renewable energy technologies, their applications in fields of expertise, their role in the development of societies, and how to discover alternatives to conventional energy to minimize material costs, dangers, and environmental consequences. It also mentioned the most important renewable energy sources, which include (solar energy, wind energy, hydroelectricity, and biomass energy). At the end of the symposium, the lecturers focused on advancing the use of renewable energy in the country due to the problems it faces in producing electric power.
