The Middle Euphrates Technical University organized a specialized workshop addressing key accounting treatments related to financial aspects, in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Kadhim Al-Zubaidi, the two Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, a number of department heads at the University Presidency, and the heads of financial divisions and units across the university’s formations.
The workshop was delivered by the Director of the Financial Affairs Department at the University Presidency, Mr. Hossam Adel Hamid, who presented several topics related to the treatment of common accounting errors, mechanisms for handling reimbursable expenditures, as well as the correction of discrepancies that appear in the trial balance following financial consolidation procedures.
The workshop also addressed key observations issued by the Federal Board of Supreme Audit concerning advance payments, debtors, trusts, and creditors, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to approved financial regulations and instructions in order to enhance the efficiency of financial and administrative performance across the university’s formations.
Furthermore, the workshop highlighted the importance of continuous monitoring of employees’ entitlements and the mechanisms for utilizing funds allocated by the Ministry of Finance in accordance with legal frameworks, thereby contributing to institutional performance improvement and ensuring proper management of financial resources.
The University President stressed the importance of holding specialized workshops that contribute to developing financial and administrative performance and improving the efficiency of staff in financial divisions and units, in line with institutional work requirements and in a way that reinforces principles of transparency and financial discipline.
