The student at the Samawa Technical Institute, part of the Middle Euphrates Technical University, Zain Al-Abidin Al-Murshidi, recorded a distinguished literary presence as part of the activities of the International Youth Poetry Festival, which was held in the cities of Beijing and Guangzhou in the People’s Republic of China, with the participation of poets and creators from 13 Arab and foreign countries.

The participation included the display of several of Al-Murshidi’s poems among the exhibits of the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature in the capital, Beijing. His poetry collection titled “Child of the Shepherds” was also included among the museum’s holdings, along with the presentation of his poem “Knock of the Bird” in his own handwriting and personal signature.

This achievement is considered a cultural and literary presence that reflects the creative energies of the students of the Middle Euphrates Technical University and contributes to enhancing the presence of Iraqi literature in international cultural forums.

The festival is organized by the Chinese Writers Association, within the framework of supporting cultural and literary exchange between peoples and strengthening human communication through literary creativity.
