The Ministerial Committee tasked with monitoring and evaluating the scientific and academic environment, as well as the administrative aspects of the four technical universities, visited Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University as part of the approved field-visit program for evaluating institutional performance. The committee commenced its fieldwork at the university’s college.

The University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, met with the committee members, welcoming their visit and emphasizing the important role played by ministerial committees in supporting the process of development and improving institutional performance. He also praised the committee members’ efforts in monitoring and evaluating the conditions of educational institutions.

The committee was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Nasser Saber from the Middle Technical University. Upon arrival, the committee immediately began its fieldwork in the scientific departments, administrative units, and academic specializations covered by the evaluation. This included holding meetings with the relevant personnel, reviewing documents and records, and examining administrative and academic files in accordance with the approved standards and regulations.

The ministerial delegation was accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Awad Al-Abidi, Director of the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the University Presidency.

The University President also expressed the university’s full readiness to provide all necessary requirements and to cooperate and coordinate with the committee members, contributing to the smooth and accurate completion of its work and the achievement of the objectives of the visit.

This visit comes within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to strengthen field monitoring and develop academic and administrative performance in technical education institutions, consolidate comprehensive quality standards, and enhance institutional performance in line with the requirements of scientific and organizational development and sustainability.
