The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Lateef Al-Zubaidi, attended the memorial service organized by the University Presidency for the late Intisar Kazem Hussein and the father of Mr. Husam Adel Hamid, Director of the Financial Affairs Department.
The memorial service began with the recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha for the souls of the deceased, followed by verses from the Holy Qur’an recited by the Director of the President’s Office, Assistant Professor Mu’in Mohsen Al-Rubaie. The ceremony was attended by the University’s Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Mohsin Al-Majtoumi; the Dean of the Technical Administrative College of Kufa, Prof. Dr. Dhirgham Hassan Al-Abdali; department directors; and a group of university staff and members of its formations at the Kufa campus.
In his speech, the University President offered condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased and those present, recalling the distinguished career of the late Intisar Kazem Hussein. He prayed to the Almighty to grant mercy and forgiveness to both deceased individuals and to bestow patience and comfort upon their families. Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.
The attendees also reflected during the memorial on the good morals, honorable conduct, dedication, sincerity, and diligence that characterized their late colleague in performing her duties to the fullest.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the attendees prayed to God Almighty to have mercy on them both, admit them into His vast gardens, and grant their families and loved ones patience and solace.
